New Forms of Employment in the EAEU as a New Tool for Economic Administration and Labor Market Development
Keywords:
Eurasian Economic Union, atypical employment, fixed-term employment contract, project-based employment, platform employmentAbstract
This article attempts to briefly analyze the labor legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union member states regulating atypical forms of employment, which are most susceptible to transformation in the context of widespread digitalization. These include platform and project-based employment. It is concluded that enshrining basic norms on project-based and platform employment will not lead to a degradation of the labor market due to employers’ widespread shift to fixed-term employment contracts. Labor rights will be less likely to be violated, and businesses will be able to more effectively evaluate and develop business initiatives.
