Abstract

The article examines the history of the formation of judicial power in Russia from ancient times to the present. It analyzes key stages in the development of the judicial system,including the influence of various state reforms, historical events and changes in legislation. The importance of judicial independence and its impact on law and order in the country are emphasized. The significance of the historical roots of the judicial system for assessing its current state and development prospects is also noted.
